Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) unmasked by Dan Mora at C2E2 2023.
So this was my chief goal in attaining at C2E2 this year. Mora has drawn Cass three times (once in Tec, and two variant covers for Batgirls).I wanted to see an unmasked Cass by Mora. I just didn’t expect the journey it take.
Sadly for Friday of the con weekend, by the time I saw him he was sold out of commissions on that day (I waited two hours). So I made it my mission on Saturday to get it done. Amusingly, a friend of mine was the first in line that day as we both waited (I was twelfth in line and this time only waited an hour).
As I waited a Cass cosplayer walked by me, I had to get a photo of her, and she gave me a little bat card and yeah I took it as a sign. Sure enough, I was one of the last people to get a commission from him on Saturday.
When I picked up the sketch, ANOTHER Cass cosplayer was at the head getting her own goodies and autographs from Mora. Truly fate was with me that day.
